Legal Question in Employment Law in Georgia

Employment Law

I applied for a promotion at my old job. I interview & came out #1. False information was told about me and they offered the position to #2 without offering it to me. I filed a grievance with the company and it was found to be substianted meaning that the job should have been offered to me. Is there anyting I can do legally to the company or people b/c they stopped me from getting a promotion and more money. I have since left the company and now they are telling me if another position become availabe, they will make every possible effort to give me the job.
