Legal Question in Employment Law in Georgia

Employment Policy Changes

My employer presented me with a form to sign stating that as of 2/18/08 (I received the form on 2/20/08) I no longer will be paid a salary, I no longer have any sick days, vacation days, and I will no longer receive holiday pay. He changed my pay from salary to an amount per day. All other personal receive Holiday and Vacation. Is this discrimination? I don't know what to do. Should I just resign?

Re: Employment Policy Changes

Unless there is a contract stating otherwise (which may include an employee manual), employers are generally free to change compensation as long as it is at or above minimum wage, and there are even a few exceptions to that. You certainly should not rely on an internet forum like this to tell you whether or not to resign.
