i was given false policy info on vacation in circle k store by my market manager. he told me the 24 hours i earned last aug 2010 i had to use by dec31 2010 or lose it. he also told me i would be elligible for a second week vacation come 1 jan 2011 neither was true.. the company policy sated by my corp office in tempe az that i could carry over my vacation this year and havr til aug 2011 to use it, when i brought this to the market manager attention he stated if i did not like what he told me i had a choice resign or suck it up.. later that week i statedAccordingly, a policy that provides for the forfeiture of vacation pay that is not used by a specified date ("use it or lose it") is an illegal policy under to my store manager i did not like being lied too and filed a complaint with human resource manager on this the next day i was terminted due to insubordination for calling him a liar as it states on my dismissal paperwork.. is this lawful or what please help?

There is no general right or entitlement to any employment or job in Georgia and an employee can be terminated for any or no reason (unless there is a contract stating otherwise, or certain types of discrimination). There is no right or entitlement to a boss who is honest or polite. Your post is not clear at all about what happened but the question is did you deal with the issue by simply asking for your vacation based on the company policy and resolving it, or did you escalate the issue with all the complaints and accusations about "illegal" and "liar" and "I don't like being lied to?" Many companies will take your side in simply resolving the dispute, but they won't if it is blown out of proportion. The bottom line is what do you expect now? Did you want to continue working for this person? If not, you may want to move on.
