Legal Question in Employment Law in Georgia

I was fired while on Medical Leave.

I have many health problems but have managed to hold my job for 8 years, i go in sick as a dog. Recently i was placed in the hospital with staff infection. When i got out i was placed on medical leave by my doctor. While on medical leave my emplyer called and fired me. Is that legal?

It depends on a number of factors. The size of the employer, the time for which you have been employed, the nature and duration of the treatment for the staff infection and other health conditions and other conditions of your employment will be critical to determine whether or not you have a legal claim. You should speak with an attorney to see if you have a claim and what can be done about the situation.
