Legal Question in Employment Law in Georgia
Fired with questionable reasons
To make a long story short, I suspect strongly that my former employer who fired me 11-15-06 fired me for reasons other than those stated on my separation papers. They allege that I was fired, because of patient complaints, but the D.O.L. determined that I was fired for ''doing the job that I had been hired to do''. I have been receiving unemployment, but have health insurance only by the assistance of family. I suspect either retaliation for a EEOC complaint against a former employer; lack of patients to support my salary, benefit, and sign on package(I was replaced with part-time non-benefited people); or religious discrimination since I am pro-life and my superiors are pro-choice. No one locally will take my case and there seems to be no justice for me. Can you help?

Re: Fired with questionable reasons
This forum is for general information. The feedback you have received from lawyers is infintely better than you cen receive here. If qualified lawyers are not taking your case, they have presumably told you why. Just based on your post, it seems like you suspect many things, but may not have any facts to back up any one reason. One of the reasons provided - lack of work - seems to be an obvious valid reason to terminate employment or lay you off. Keep contacting lawyers who have expertise and practice in the area of discrimination, and consider what they tell you about your case.
