Legal Question in Employment Law in Georgia

I gave my two weeks notice yesterday,, including the final day of work--June 24. I had to leave the written and signed copy on my boss;s desk as she was in a meeting, and I had an appt. I did email her and let her know I had left it there.

Now she is saying I have abandoned my job because I had cleaned out my desk.She said she called the on-call phone and that I didn't answer was proof. (I was in the restroom--I did return the call when I got out)
