Legal Question in Employment Law in Georgia

Hi,

I left a company in 1995. I had a small 401k account with about $600. After I left the company I got statements for this account quartly. Recently I wanted to move the account to my IRA. The company said I didn't work for the company long enough. The money in the account were from the company's profit sharing for the year I worked there(I didn't contribute). So the company forfeited the account today. Is what they do legal? Is there any way to pursue this?

Thank you,

No one here know the terms of the company's retirement plan. This is something you should have received, read and understood. If you do not have it now, ask the company for a copy (as it existed during your employment).
