Legal Question in Employment Law in Georgia

My husband has been working for the same company in georgia for the past thirteen years. The past three years that we have been married he has recieved his pay check on time just a hand full of times (maybe 4-6 times maybe). A week ago his deposited his pay check in our checking account. We assumed that everything was fine. We were wrong though. Yesterday while looking at our accounts online he discovered that his pay check from last week that we had already paid bills with had been taken out of our acount along with a ten dollar charge due to NSF. We also have a small over draft due to this money being taking out. Can we do anything about this?? They have tried to make this right, but it should have never happened. This is the first pay check that has bounced, but it is not the first check that the company has written that has bounced. I know this will happen again. My husband wants to quit since he is not getting paid, but I am afraid for him too. I have just found a job after looking for sixteen months.

It is not clear what you are asking. You posted under labor and employment, but seem to be asking about the bounced check and fees (which is not an employment question). Generally, it is your responsibility to not write checks from your checking account until deposits clear. If you do not wait, it is at your own risk. As far as the job, obviously bouncing paychecks is not a good sign but it appears they have made good on the check so you have no legal issue.
