Legal Question in Employment Law in Georgia

Job Description

I was taken off the call roster for emergency callbacks six years ago because it was costing the hospital too much money. Now, because of staffing issues, they have forced me back on the call roster. If an item in my job description was not effective for six years, can they now force me to pull call or is that item null and void? It seems they only want me to pull call at their convenience.

I'm not sure if this matters, but I am a civil service employee. Thanks for any help you can give.

Re: Job Description

It is impossible to even tell what kind of job you are desribing. However, if you are looking for a general answer, then your job duties are determined by your employer. "Their convenience" is generally part of being the owner/employer.
