Legal Question in Employment Law in Georgia
i was let go from my job monday. i feel i was let go wrongfully. i have worked for this company for 4yrs and they now are saying my drawer has been short a large amount of money within this month. i feel i was setup. As well as the store manager because she wanted to take a quick smoke break and while district manager was on his phone in his car we were talking and she says to me i dont know you that well at all but with what i know is going on it seems like you were setup. i want something done about this especially for it to not be on my record so i can get another job. i do feel i was setup to be let go because my district manager does not like me.

In Georgia, unless you have a contract stating otherwise, employment is "at will" and an employee can be terminated for any or no reason (except a very short list of discriminatory reasons). That includes termination just because a boss does not like you. Beyond that, your post is very vague about a "set up" and lacking in facts. You certainly might have an issue if someone lies about you to a potential employer, but that is when or if that actually happens. In short, you might believe you were "wrongfully terminated," but that does not necessarily mean you have any legal claims.
