Legal Question in Employment Law in Georgia
Is this Legal for the company to do this
I was working as a claims adjuster in my company. Just 3 days before payday I was verbally told that my pay was being cut and they put me in another position into mortgage. During the 3 days before my pay was cut that I was working the claims as required to. My pay was cut down to making $250 a week plus commission. I need to know if it is legal for the company to do this and do I have any legal recourse. I do plan on leaving the company very soon.

Re: Is this Legal for the company to do this
I'm not sure if I understand your questions, but it is generally legal for a company to modify an employee's salary as long as there is no contract in place that dictates otherwise and as long as it doesn't fall below the minimum wage.
