Is it legal/appropriate for your employer to change your 5 year title from that of a manager to that of an account rep without notification either written or verbal in the state of Georgia?

Of course there is no law against an employer changing titles. Otherwise, do you have a contract giving you a contractual right to a title? If so, you did not mention it. Keep in mind that most employment in GA is at will, and an employee can be terminated for any or no reason (except a few categories of discrimination). Please consider a change of title in this perspective.
