Legal Question in Employment Law in Georgia
I live in Atlanta, Ga. I was employed with a home care agency and quit after working for a month without pay in October 2014. It is now December 12, 2014 and I have yet to be paid. I was first told the company was waiting for the bank to clear the check. I am now being told that FEDEX didn't deliver the checks to the office and there's no tracking number so they can't give me an exact date to pick it up. Is this legal in Georgia?

It is not an issue of legal or illegal. Your remedy is the sue in Magistrate Court. You can also pay a lawyer to write a demand letter - sometimes works, sometimes does not.
