Legal Question in Employment Law in Georgia

Make this simple since Im worn out after all this.

On the 23th our new coworker threaten my life stating " I have never wanted to kill somone but with you I do. I will chopped you up like Lauren Diggins and make meatballs out of you then name them after you" I laughed it off as Im honor if Im your first killed. The other chef was there but he does not want to be involved. Came home, texted my boss. She said "we will discuss it tomorrow". Told her I was off that day, she texted me "We will discuss it your next working day" On the 24th, the next day on my day off I texted and told her I couldn't wait for the next day, I was on my way to make a police report. Talked to my boss while that guy was there. He admitted saying the first part in a joking manner but not the rest, My boss heard him admit it. Asks us to make a report and ask me what I wanted to do with it. I told her again the police needs to know. She guided me to human resources. I called the cops that night at midnight due to being so shaken by it. He advise me that since is on private college they need permission so I need the campus police involved. Next day, I went to my boss around 8am and told her I wanted to press chargers. She was very surprised. Called the chief campus police, I told him my story. Then a deputy was in her office and her first words to him was "We dont want to press charges" She knew I did thought. The deputy asked if we worked for the same company and she said yes. He handed me his card with the case number telling me that an investigation will be done. I said that's all? He went on explain I needed a third party to make an arrest, I pointed to my boss and she stated that the only part she heard was the day before when he admitted it to it in a joking manner. The deputy told me that didn't count cause it did not occur at the time of the incident. I couldn't believe all this. I didn't say anything else, went back to work under the same circumstances around that guy. We are chefs so its a very very uncomfortable situation to be under being threaten by such, much less bringing an innocent murder and naming a dish after me. On the 25th I went to my boss after I realized she wasnt' doing anything about it to tell her again I wanted to press charges. She said I couldn't do anything else more. She had done her job and in her companies eyes the case is closed. I asked her how she can still have that guy walking around with knifes in our kitchen when my life is in danger. I been with them for 9 months and him not ever a full week. His credentials are higher so ofcourse they want to keep him yet that doesn't mean I need to be a rug neither. I been very patient but to be and feel so mistreated by my own employers after working my butt of for them feels very unappreciative much less my life is still in danger. I called the sheriffs to come out there again from my personal phone after cloking out since my boss told me to do it on my personal time. Waited an hour, went back to her office. Asked her to call d chief campus police, she did. I asked him to call the sheriff department, she heard my conversation and told me she had talked to the deputy and he said it was under investigation. I went back to work, she came and got me again now with d other chef as a witness and told me that I shouldn't be telling my coworkers anything or use my work time for personal business. I was shocked. She gave me permission to do so, even called for me. I did tell a few of my coworkers due to being afraid for my life. I was still in a situation being forced to be around this guy and seeing him with knifes or hearing him cut things on d cutting board were giving me chills. I finally stood up to her and question her about why she had told the cops that weslyan didn't want to press charges when I did. Why she still had that guy there when my life was threaten? Why she is telling me to not tell my coworkers "disrupting workplace" when Im afraid for my life? Ofcourse now she saw that I finally had enough of her nonsense and her trying to hide or cover his back. Due to me questioning her She told me to clock out and go home. My jaw dropped. I asked her in shock, So you are firing me? She said no Im letting you go home so you can cool off. I felt so so mistreated, here Im the victim yet I get sent home for being afraid and standing up to my rights while he is still there. I spoke to the DA he took me straight to the judge. As soon as the judge heard the threat with Lauren Diggins name he started to call the sheriffs department. Asked for them to get on the case and that I wanted to press charges, it was not for my boss to decide. I was so so thankful to have the judge on my side after all this people were making me feel humiliated. I assumed they arrested him cause my boss called me later on that day to tell me to take the day off and that I was getting paid for all day today. And I can come back on Monday if I would like. Here I stand, going through so many emotions scared to be alone or have my daughter play outside cause this guy is an executive chef so he knows where I live. Any light on this will help..Thank You
