Misleading Hiring
I am in sales management. I was approached by and later hired by a competitor of the company I was with for 12 years. There are several critical facts that I was told prior to making a switch from a stable company, that have turned out to have been misleading. I have lost income and am uable to return to my previous employer. I will not be able to continue with the current employer due to the misleadings and the subsequent loss in wages. What is my recourse and how would one pursue this? I have not been able to locate an attorney in my area that handles this type of matter.

The obvious answer is to look for a new job. There is no way to respond in any detail because we don't know what the "critical facts" are, and whether they could constitute any kind of contract. Most employment is "at will" - they can fire you, and you can quit. They can change job duties, compensation, or fire you a day after you get there, absent an agreement. Being disgruntled at a job, or regretting a decision usually do not give rise to a lawsuit absent a contract. You can re-post with more specific facts.
