I was a independent contractor for a courier business. They refuse to pay me for the last 3 days I worked Saying I Broke their Contract .But the problem is I never sign a contract .Even though they said I did. I have the contract in my possesion because I never sign it .The amount of money is only around $250 but is it right and can they legaly hold my money . And can I collect without it costing me.

Re: No Money

You need to provide considerably more information on what your oral understandings were (those can form a contract), what the alleged breach was, and what the contract they say you signed says. And, since you're an independent contractor, your only remedy would be a small claims petition in magistrate court for the 3 days, since the labor dept. has no jurisdiction. Unless the 3 days is a lot, if they won't bend, it's probably not worth the trouble.
