Legal Question in Employment Law in Georgia

I am being "let go" for not passing/ obtaining my registry. I was told in Sept 09 that I had until Jan 10 to get it done. Well I passed one part of the test & failed the other one by 5 points. I have asked for an extension, to be put in another department, and even a longer personal time to no aval. Now I am wondering if I could even get unemployment for this reason. The company wants me to resign so that the door can be open for me to come back. Which I can take the test again in 2 months. My supervisor has told me that once I pass, I can come back. But also I am 6 months pregnant, so getting a new job will be tough. What are some options?
