Legal Question in Employment Law in Georgia
Can a person sue their former employer if the employer sites insubordination on company time even if the instance is not on company time and you were at home, on your only day off in 2 weeks. I ask this on behalf of a family member that was denied unemployment during his appeal hearing he was stated as being on the company's time and in the company building but I know for a fact that he was at home, with me and his mother.

The person should have hired a lawyer BEFORE the unemployment hearing. Asking after a hearing is way too late.
I'd still tell them to talk to an employment lawyer, but even if there was a case, waiting may have ruined it. (Since Georgia is an employment at will state, there may not ever have been a case at all, but a lawyer may have helped with unemployment at least).
