Re: phone recordings

Generally it is not legal to secretly listen to or record a conversation unless the person recording it is a party to the conversation. A person can secretly record a conversation in which he/she is a participant. However, we do not know the terms of your employment or disclosed office policies, which may allow recording or listening. You did not provide any additional facts.

Re: phone recordings

I agree completely with what Scott said, and I would like to add that there are ways, through well published company policy or employment manuals, where a company may legally record employee conversations while at work.

The foregoing is general information only, not specific legal advice. No attorney/client relationship has been created or should be implied.
