Legal Question in Employment Law in Georgia

Previous Employer Overpaid Me in Georgia!!!

My Previous employer is claiming that they overpaid me in the amount of $1447.40 after I left the company. They deposited the funds into my bank account and now want it all back immediatly. I have sent them at letter stating I needed to see all of my direct deposity reciepts before I took any action on the situation. What does the law say about there mistake and constant harassment at my new place of work??

Simple solution - pay them back. It is the right thing to do, before getting to any laws. Had the mistake been the other way, they could not have claimed they were somehow protected from paying you what they owed. Your subject line says they overpaid you, so it appears as though there is no dispute. As for "harassment," they are certainly allowed to ask for the money back.
