I put in my 2 weeks notice at work, they decided to only have me work 1 of the weeks and let me go ahead and leave. The last day of work I signed paperwork saying I was voluntarily leaving the company. Now since they cut my notice short, according to the company hand book they had to pay me for my weeks vacation that I had accrued. I went to pick up my check this week and they had a different separation form saying I was terminated for stealing because I sent some documents that I never got to finish to my e-mail account that I was going to finish furing my last week of work. I am 100% certain they are just looking for a way to get out of paying me for my accrued vacation time. Is this legal?

Is it "legal" for them to have another side of the story -- of course it is. Since we do not know all the facts, including their side, you can't get much of an answer here. Although you apparently didn't have an unemployment compensation issue since you resigned, their position that you were terminated might open the door for you to apply (if you did not have other work lined up), and either way the DOL may be a free way to get some assistance working it out.
