Legal Question in Employment Law in Georgia
questionable duties
I was hired as a cashier at Lowe's. I was trained as a cashier! At closing I'm ordered to clean and mop restrooms each evening I work. Can I be terminated if I don't want to do janitoral duties?

Re: questionable duties
Generally, the employer, and not the employee, determines the duties that need to be handled. If an employee does not want to handle "questionable" duties just because they do not want to, the employer will likely find a replacement who will. The duties you mention are obviously common and necessary. Unless you have a contract that limits your duties, which would be highly unlikely, you may face negative consequences if you fail to follow the employer's direction. If you do not like the job, you can find one more suitable.
