Legal Question in Employment Law in Georgia

if i receive a weeks severance pay upon termination can i send letter demading unpaid vacation time totaling 21 unused unpaid days since 2008. i was terminated for attendance?? according to company manual upon termination employee is paid accured vacation time if applicable.

Before unnecessarily spending money on a lawyer to read a manual, eating up the pay you might get, YOU need to carefully review your manual, including all terms of vacation pay and all instances where it is not payable. Then, politely ask for money owed. If not paid in a reasonable time, the Dept of Labor may be able to assist at no charge to you.
