Legal Question in Employment Law in Georgia
Salary owed after termination
I worked for a consulting (Norcross, GA) from 1999-2003. In 2002 and 2003 teh company was going through a bad phase and we weren't paid regularly. In 2003 they terminated my employment and at the time of termination I was owed $16000. I moved to Illinois after that. I didn't hear from them for a year and in 2004 they signed a agreement saying tehy will may dues in 12 installments starting October 2004. But now they say they are not in position to continue to pay the installments till next year. They owe me $4100. What can I do to get the salary owed to me.
Any help would be very much appreciated.
Thanks,
Samuel

Re: Salary owed after termination
You may file suit against your former employer for the money owed. I would recommend filing suit in magistrate (small claims) court, which you can do without an attorney.
