Legal Question in Employment Law in Georgia
Settlement agreements for Employees who have embezzled money
A clerk at a physician's office takes patient's payments right before they leave and then files their medical files as filled out by the doctor after they are finished. She took the payments, when patients paid in cash, and kept them. After she would pocket the money she would file the medical charts or hide them to cover her tracks. She doesn't know exactly how much she took and neither does the office. She doesn't want the doctor to call the police, and since she has 2 kids he doesn't want to press charges but does want the money back. The doctor proposes she pay an certain amount each month until the money is paid back. What is the best way to arrange a settlement agreement which makes her liable if she fails to pay the monthly payment to settle the case, and where can someone get such a settlement agreement?

There is no form agreement you can use. It would have to be custom drafted around the rather unusual circumstances.
