Legal Question in Employment Law in Georgia
I'm currently a state employee for GA. My employer recently gave me a written reprimand due to some of my customers stating that I had not called them(a policy violation) when in fact, I had called them. I feel it is their word against mine and I want to file a grievance against this action. Since they are public assistance customers, it's doubtful they would be required to testify, What laws can I cite in my grievance concerning accepting the word of another over mine? (Note: I have been an employee in excellent standing for over 20 years).

Of course there is no law mandating that anyone believe your word over someone else's (or vice versa). File your grievance in the appropriate way, and tell your side of the story. No one HAS to believe you ... or the customers.
