Legal Question in Employment Law in Georgia
Taking My Ex Boss to Magistate Court
I am taking my ex-boss to Magistate Court in regards of them holding my last check which is breaking the law and withholding funds out of my check which is also breaking the law unless I had signed a contract or give permission to do so. My question is are there any damages I can ask for so as slander (which I have proof and witness) in magistate court? Can I ask for any damages for bringing them to court such as inconviences such as not being able to pay my bills?

Re: Taking My Ex Boss to Magistate Court
You may ask for those damages, but the maximum recovery in magistrate court is $15,000.00.
