Legal Question in Employment Law in Georgia
I am a teller at a bank. The bank has offered me a position at another location that has longer hours than what I have been working for the past 5 years. My baby is 5 months old and I do not have a sitter that can watch my child for the extra hours that this branch has. I asked if there were any other alternatives, they stated that they would have to get back with me. There are other tellers at my office that would be able to work the new hours, but they dont want her they want me b/c of my work ethic and professionalism. What rights do I have if I am told to take the position or be forced to resign?

There is no general right to a job, and absent a contract an employee can generally be terminated for any or no reason (with few exceptions for certain kinds of discrimination not raised in your post). If they value you as an employee as you say, you probably have a good chance of keeping the job as training a new employee is usually pretty expensive.
