Legal Question in Employment Law in Georgia

I was terminated after working at a nursing home 2 yrs; because they said that I mistreated a patient. I have taken care of this patient for a yr maybe longer, but this is a severally combative patient and she was injured in the process of my care. I was terminated. And the place is trying to keep me from my unemployement. I do not have a history of anything against me and have been in the medical field for 4 yrs.

My advice would be to hire an attorney immediately. It's possible that your problems could stretch further than simply not getting your unemployment benefits. If you were fired for mistreating a patient, you could face potential criminal charges as well as losing any medical licensing you possess.

Best of luck.*****The above is for informational purposes only and does not create an attorney-client privilege.*******
