Legal Question in Employment Law in Georgia
Threatning restaurant owner
At work there was an altercation between myself and the owner of the buisness. During the altercation the first owner called me a ''fucking cunt''. I relayed to the second owner that this would be my last night because of the abusive language that was used. The second owner told the first to take it easy on me because I was about to walk out. Upon hearing this the first owner turned to me and yelled ''if you walk out I will fucking kill you''. I now am a student with bills and no job. What are my legal rights in this matter.

Re: Threatning restaurant owner
not at all clear. If the owner is a man, you might have a sex harrassment case for the "FC" remark. As to the "I'll kill you part", could be terroristic threats, but what does that get you? You didn't want the job. Might be able to put him/her in jail, but it sounds like you didn't want to stay, where are the damages, unless it is fear? Your best bet is probably hostile environment sex harrassment resulting in constructive discharge if your superior was male. Less clear if she was female.
