Unfair Treatment
At my job I was never told of prerequistes to days I am required to work. My boss recently told me that I had to work a day outside of my availability that I had given to him before I was hired. I kindly told him that it was not possible for me to work on that day, he responded by telling me he was going to find someone to replace me who has availability that better suits his company. He pretty much fired me, but other employees who couldn't work that day were not fired. Is this legal? What action should I take? Should I report to the Better Business Bureau? Thank you for your response.

If you are an at-will employee, i.e. you don't have a contractual term of employment, you may be terminated without cause. However, you may not be terminated for discriminatory reasons or any reason that violates your civil rights.
In your case, it is not necessarily illegal to fire you and not fire other employees that also refuse to work that day. But this might be evidence of an improper reason for termination.
