Legal Question in Employment Law in Georgia

Wrongful Termination

I was the asst mgr for a retail store and we have an online survey. there was multiple surveys done in one day and some mentioned my name. they asked me about it and I told them I didn't know anyone about it. I told them that I ask people to do surveys and my husband does too. they accused me of doing the surveys with no proof. they said because my husband asked his core group to do a survey before they left that, that was against the code of conduct. I did nothing and they have not proof and the code of conduct says nothing about telling people to do a survey. i was just doing what my disctict manager told me to do. please help..

Re: Wrongful Termination

If you are an at-will employee, which you probably are, they have the right to fire you for any non-discriminatory reason or for no reason at all. Just like you would have the right to quit at any time. If you under a contractual term of employment, your rights should be in the contract.
