Legal Question in Landlord & Tenant Law in Georgia

Trying to get out of my 12 month lease

I asked a question yesterday and got the response i expected. (Unsafe in own apartment 10/08/06) After reviewing my lease last night, i saw that after i had signed my lease the, we had to change apartments due to maintenance issues. The property manager changed all the apartment numbers simply by one lining them out and inserting the other aprtment number. I am in the military and am very familiar with the habit of simply one lining things out, to substitute another, but when we do it at work, it always has to be one lined and initialed by all affected parties, Could the same thing apply here? Could my lease be invalid due to there being one lines with no initials?

Please help.

Obviously, neither party to the lease was confused about which apartment was to be leased and occupied, and both parties have reled on the lease. Generally, one party cannot rely on a contract when it is beneficial, then later try to get out of it when it becomes a burden.
