Legal Question in Landlord & Tenant Law in Georgia

About 8 months ago, I moved in with a friend who needed a room mate, after his old room mate moved out. I wasnt on the original lease, and neither is our newer room mate. My friend who's on the lease doesnt wish to renew it, but my other room mate and I tried too because we like the house and the area. Our application was denied and the land lord never called to let us know. We now have 8 days untill the original lease is up. Do we have any legal power?

Power to what? You applied to rent the house and were denied (or never approved, however you would like to look at it). Obviously, you know the date you need to be out and if you are not the landlord will likely begin eviction. You don't state what "legal power" you think you might have, or what exactly you want to do. Are you trying to ask whether you can force the landlord to lease to you if you refuse to move out? I'm sure you know the answer to that.
