Legal Question in Landlord & Tenant Law in Georgia
In 2007, tenant was awarded a small amount of money in magistrate court. Since that time, the tenant has not dismissed the case in the court even though the payment was made on the day of the hearing.
The magistrate judge has advised a "suit to dismiss". What claims would I, as plaintiff, have against this person?
The judgment is beginning to show up as "potential negative report" on credit reports because it was not dismissed. What is the responsibility of the tenant who sued, obtained a judgment and was paid the court ordered amount, to dismiss the case?

The judgment in favor of the tenant should have ended the case. Consult with a local attorney who can check the courthouse and find what's going on.
