Legal Question in Landlord & Tenant Law in Georgia

Changing policies in the lease

When I moved in I had 2 pets. In my lease I had a paragraph size policy to follow having those 2 pets. I got rid of my 1 cat and got a dog. I had permission to do that. Once I got the dog. I was told I would have to sign a new pet policy since it had changed since I moved in. I told my landlord that my husband and I refuse to sign the new policy because it's breaking our lease. They told us we had to sign it anyways. This new pet policy is 5 pages long. Completely different from what our lease agreement says. Do we have to sign this new policy?

Re: Changing policies in the lease

You are not required to sign anything, but the terms of the lease agreement will stillapply, which may or may not allow you to have a dog.
