Legal Question in Landlord & Tenant Law in Georgia

I am deploying on Saturday 24 April. I informed my landlord in writing on April 8th (also attached orders) that my wife will be out of the home by 8 May. I have email correspondat with my landlord agreeing to the information that we gave her on the Federal Military Clause and Servicemember Civil Relief Act. Now she wants us to sign an amendment stating that we will be in breach of the contract if we buy a home in the area while I am gone. My wife is closing on our new home on April 30th. I have reviewed the Federal Military Clause and there is nothing stating that we cannot buy a home while I am gone. Should I sign the amendment or what advice can you give me in this matter?

Advice on what you should or should not sign is not appropriate for this website. You need to see a lawyer for that, and bring all documents. We do not even know the terms of your lease, or why May 8 (or any other date you mention) is relevant.
