Legal Question in Landlord & Tenant Law in Georgia

Evicting ex-boyfriend

I am wanting my ex-boyfriend to move out but he is not on the lease. He has paid his half of rent for March and feels that he does not have move. Can I put him out of my apartment although he is not on my lease?

Re: Evicting ex-boyfriend

Being on your lease is irrelevant regarding whether you can evict him. It is relevant to how you can do it. Because he is not living there pursuant to a lease with a term, you would have to give him 60 days' notice to move out. However, if he fails to pay rent or pay on time, you can ask him to leave immediately.
