Legal Question in Landlord & Tenant Law in Georgia
Good day. i was looking for apartment complexes to move into, when this one apartment caught my eye.I walked in an got shown an apartment which i was interested in.I wasn't able to apply for it that day so i told the lady at the desk that i would be back the next day.I went back the next day and applied for this apartment but wasn't told that it had been leased out to someone else.I was told i was approved and not to come back till the day i was moving in.On the day i was supposed to move in, i was directed to another apartment that was of lower value. Then when i refused to move into this apartment, i was told that i would have to pay more to get an apartment like the one i was being shown at first which i declined.I just wanted to know if i could sue this company because, this qualifies as fraud or false advertisement .
Thank you.

Of course not. If you want the other party to be obligated to lease an apartment to you, you sign a lease and both parties are obligated. You don't take your chances and show up the day before you want to move, and hope they have something available at the price you have decided is appropriate.
