Legal Question in Landlord & Tenant Law in Georgia

Me and my husband had an eviction filed against us in Jan 2014'. We paid It and are still living in the same residence that the eviction was filed on. A year and a half later, we apply for a home and this eviction filing is showing up on our credit report as "unpaid". The management company does not own this property anymore and the new management company has no evidence in our file that it was paid. Contacted the corporate office of the old management company and they aren't helping us at all! what should we do?

If you paid the amount of the Judgement and it is showing as unpaid and/or not cancelled in the Court records, you should make a written demand to the company on the Judgment that they need to mark it paid of record and to send you a copy within 30 days. If they don't, see a lawyer about suing them.
