Legal Question in Landlord & Tenant Law in Georgia

My husband lost his job 2 months ago and we really dont have the money to pay our bills and my mother has a house that she is goin to let us live in with no bills until we can get back on our feet but we rent a house now and I do believe its a 12 month lease how can I get out of the lease without having to pay the rest of the lease cause as I said we dont have the money to even pay month by month plz help!!

Sorry to sound harsh, you should not "believe" your lease is 12 months. You should know. You should have read the lease again when the issue arose, and before posting here so you know all the facts about your situation. The lease could very well answer the question about how you get out of the lease early with the appropriate notice and termination fee. If it does not, you will likely be liable for damages for breaching the contract.
