Legal Question in Landlord & Tenant Law in Georgia
Land Lord Question
live in a mobile home park and the landlord has decided all of a sudden that Pit Bull dogs are NOT ALLOWED in the park. I somewhat agree with this, however, he is trying to make me get rid of my dog who is a american bulldog also.(NO PIT WHAT-SO-EVER) He said that she ''looks'' pit and thats all he wants to know about her. He said I have to get rid of her or move myself. Now, My dog is a inside dog. She is well mannered, doesnt go outside unless she is being put in her cage where she uses the bathroom (6 foot high) and never walks around the park unless she is on a leash.
Other people have pit bulls that stay tied up out side of their home and try to break the chain ever time you walk by them and try to bite you if you walk up to someones home. I can understand wanting those dogs gone.
But in all reality can they make anyone get rid of their dog? Can they tell you that you have to move if you dont?
It doesnt say ANYTHING at all in the lease we signed about animals NOTHING at all!!

Re: Land Lord Question
They may be able to get rid of the dogs (or owners) under other provisions of the lease if they believe the dogs pose a danger. However, beyond that, they would likely enforce the new rule when it comes to lease renewal.
