Legal Question in Landlord & Tenant Law in Georgia

My landlord emailed me that I can stay in a room without paying rent, and leave when I find a job and suitable housing. This was two weeks ago. Now he says he needs the place in a few weeks. What rights do I have?

Someone is giving you a free place to stay, gives you "several weeks" notice, and you want to know your "rights??" You have the right to go find your own housing. If you want to try to take advantage of someone who appears to have been doing you a big favor maybe you can stay until an eviction is filed (unless you are a guest, then it is the police). That will then be public record for all future prospective landlords (and creditors and employers) to see.
