Legal Question in Landlord & Tenant Law in Georgia

Landlord Fails to return rental deposit

I'm having a hard time getting a refund of my deposit from a landlord in which my rent was paid on time every month. I keep getting the run around and feel that they are making excuses to avoid giving me a refund of my deposit. Please let me know what I can do to resolve this issue. Advice would be greatly appreciated.

Re: Landlord Fails to return rental deposit

The landlord has one month from the date you vacated the property to either return the security deposit or itemize what was spent. If it has been more than one month, you might consider filing a claim, or at least send a letter to the landlord demanding the deposit or you will sue.
