Legal Question in Landlord & Tenant Law in Georgia

Landlord does nothing about flooding

I live in a mobile home park and we pay rent for the land. The past two years we have had flooding. The park has made ''repairs'' that have actually made the situation worse. Is there any recourse against the park for their lack of action to improve the living condition in the effected area?

Re: Landlord does nothing about flooding

There are a number of potential claims depending on the facts of the situation. However, you need to look to the terms of the lease with regard to your landlord's duties. Of course, the land must be inhabitable.
