Legal Question in Landlord & Tenant Law in Georgia

My old landlord won't give me back my full deposit. He did not do a move in inspection (nor did I ask#. He is charging me $300 to repaint the bathroom even though he gave me verbal and written permisssion on the color and to paint because I choose to move out early #the lease has an early termination clause only requiring 30 day notice)

Also he's charging me $100 for above and beyond cleaning.

The lease says the deposit of $825 will be returned less $100 for professional cleaning but does not state what that is.

Is he in violation?

It depends on facts we don't have, such the term of the lease, timing of the landlord's notice, etc. To answer one question, permission from the landlord to paint is a separate issue from responsibility to paint it back. That should have been discussed in the initial conversation about repainting.
