Legal Question in Landlord & Tenant Law in Georgia
Shouldn't the landlord pay for this
My question is for almost 3 months i keep telling the manger of the apartments i rent that something is wrong wtih my AC. They send the repair man out, it work fine for 5 days, then againit messes up. This went on for 2 months with the repair man coming 5 times and yet is still was not working rite. The proptery just kept putting it off and then finally they listen to the repair man and replaced the whole ac unit with a new one. But in the mean time of the ac not working rite and they knew of it, my power bill was $600.00 for that time perioid. Now is the apt people responsiable for this bill that im having to pay. Even though they new of it and just took there sweet time repairing the prob. this is due to their equp. not me. So am i stuck with something i cant pay because im on ssi dis. or legal they responsiable for the bill. HELP HELP
Thank You,
Jonathan

Re: Shouldn't the landlord pay for this
It is definitely possible that your landlord will be responsible for the increased amount of your power bill. Of course, if the lease addresses this issue, that would control, and if you bill is usually around that much (although I doubt that is possible), that would be problematic.
If you would like to discuss any issues further, please feel free to contact my office. My contact information is below. Thank you.
