Legal Question in Landlord & Tenant Law in Georgia

I am lease purchasing some land and the owner wants me to sign it back over to him. is this legal? also i have put a barn, fencing, and a shed on the property and he says i can't remove it. is that right?

You need to be extremely careful with lease-purchasing arrangements. For instance, has your agreement been recorded? If not, and a creditor places a lien on the property and forecloses on it, then you are most likely out of luck when it comes to the land.

Regarding whether the owner can force you to "sign it back over to him" depends on a number of factors, including what is detailed in your original lease-purchasing agreement.
