Legal Question in Landlord & Tenant Law in Georgia
I live in Georgia. I have just found out my wife, claims she got an apartment for her best friend's niece, some 6 months ago. I'm not sure I believe that. However, the apartment is in my wife's name. Does this mean that the apt. is legally ours? and do I have the right to go up to the apartment's front office and be let in the apt. or get a key?

It means that your WIFE has legal possession to the rental unit, NOT YOU. Just because she is your wife does not mean that you have rights to what she contracts.
Best of luck.*****The above is for informational purposes only and does not create an attorney-client privilege.*******
