Legal Question in Landlord & Tenant Law in Georgia
I live in Georgia and I am having landlord problems. I have paid them every month on the first of each month and every time there seems to be a problem with my payment. After the 3rd of each month is when the rent is late but they never tell me that there is a problem until after this date and by this time they have added on late fees. I have every receipt when I pay them. I just want to know is there something that I can do to stop this. Even this month they caused me to have an overdrawn account because they would not accept what I paid them before they told me it was late. I am on a fixed income and this is becoming a burden for me. Thank you.

You chose to not tell us the reason of why there is a problem with the rent. If you don't want to tell us the whole story, you can't get a meaningful response. How could the landlord cause you to overdraw your account, if you are the one writing checks without the funds in the account?
